Jon Bolton

Admissions and Registration Coordinator, Student Services

Jon joined the First Nations Technology Council in 2020 and is excited to work at a rapidly growing, Indigenous-led, non-profit organization focused on delivering educational and training opportunities for Indigenous communities across British Columbia. As Admissions and Registration Coordinator, Jon strives to build relationships with learners in order to provide an admissions experience that is meaningful, student-centered, and fun!

Prior to working at the First Nations Technology Council, Jon supported undergraduate students across Western Canada with advising on Graduate programs and admissions.

Nurtured by the prairies in his youth, Jon was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He moved East after high school when he was recruited to play volleyball at Wilfrid Laurier University. His passion for snowboarding eventually led him to beautiful British Columbia, where he completed his Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology at Simon Fraser University.

Jon is grateful to live, work and play with his family on the traditional and unceded territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
