Megan Jordan

Director, Communications and Engagement

As the Director, Communications and Engagement, Megan is responsible for telling the Technology Council’s story to individuals, communities, and governments, as well as industry and academic stakeholders. This involves acting as the voice of the organization and ensuring it is accurately and consistently represented in all communications. She is a key member of the organization’s Executive Leadership Team who works cross-divisionally to support the delivery of the Technology Council’s research, academic programs, projects, and policy and thought leadership.

Megan began her career as a communications and engagement consultant working for First Nations, small and medium-sized enterprises, and non-profits across the province. She has worked for federal and municipal governments, combining her passion for policy, and communications and engagement to increase public participation in governance.

Megan holds an International Association of Public Participation (IAP2) Foundations Certificate and is passionate about designing engagement processes that are culturally relevant, accessible, and promote inclusion and equity for all.

Megan grew up on the traditional, unceded territory of the Secwepemc Nation and is lucky to live, work, and play there today. She studied Political Science at the University of Victoria where she discovered her passion for advocating for social justice through policy and governance, and how proactive communication can play a key role in this. Megan considers herself an aspiring ally and is honoured to work in the service of Indigenous peoples across BC at the intersection of innovation and sovereignty.
