Manager, Sector Transformation
As the Manager of Sector Transformation, Shay works closely with the team to help transform the tech and innovation ecosystem for and with Indigenous People. Shay is excited to join the Technology Council and support the organization in its’ research and engagement activities as they relate to the BC Tech Sector and the current labour market landscape. Shay also supports the Regional Coordinators Network, a group of community connectors from across the province, to move the Technology Council’s initiatives forward through information and resource sharing about upcoming projects and training opportunities.
Community engagement is Shay’s passion and she has spent over ten years working alongside Indigenous communities across Canada to support their language revitalization efforts.
Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Shay feels fortunate to currently live, work and play on the lands of the Lekwungen-speaking Peoples. Shay holds a degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of Victoria.
