With over 10 years of experience in communications, project management, and Indigenous reconciliation, Leah brings a wealth of expertise to her role. Passionate about advocating for justice and equity with Indigenous Peoples, Leah is dedicated to creating an inclusive culture that embraces Indigenous worldviews, culture, and thought leadership in the technology sector.
In her current role, Leah plays a pivotal part in managing and promoting the Technology Council's strategic initiatives, while forging meaningful partnerships with academia, philanthropy, and the technology sector. She thrives on making connections with diverse stakeholders and believes in the power of collaboration to advance Indigenous innovation and digital equity. Leah finds inspiration in cultural diversity, storytelling, and working collectively towards tangible actions in the reconciliation process with Indigenous Peoples.
Leah identifies as a mixed heritage woman of Métis and Ukrainian descent, having grown up in Treaty 6 territory and the Homeland of the Métis. Currently residing as a guest on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations, she is committed to serving all Indigenous Peoples in BC ensuring that Indigenous worldviews and innovation are fully realized in the rapidly expanding technology economy.
