About This Course

In this course, you will learn the foundations of data analytics, acquire practical skills, and explore its many applications.

Using realistic scenarios, you will learn and follow the six basic steps of data analytics: (1) asking a question, (2) collecting data, (3) preparing the data, (4) analyzing the data, (5) creating data visualizations, and (6) sharing your findings. By the end of this course, you will be able to create and communicate meaningful representations of data findings.

  • Discuss data collection methods for real-world scenarios
  • Evaluate and prepare a dataset from real-world scenarios
  • Analyze a dataset using common software tools
  • Construct data visualizations

An internet connection and basic computer skills including laptop operation and maintenance, video conferencing, and experience with Microsoft Office.
